Our market is up and running every Saturday through October

 

 

Summer is here, and it's time to start selling at the Grand Ledge Farmers Market. We hope you have planted enough produce, herbs, flowers, pumpkins, and gourds;or produce enough soap, honey, maple syrup, eggs, crafts, artwork, and other handmadegoods to participate in our market this year. We are very excited about the 2008 Market season in Grand Ledge, which is running from JUNE 14th THROUGH OCTOBER 25th All of us “Marketeers” are striving to make the Grand Ledge Market the best in Mid-Michigan.

We have a wonderful location on the main street ( Bridge St ) in Grand Ledge. Our location is about one mile from one of the busiest roads in mid-Michigan (Saginaw Hwy / M43) and is in very close proximity to the Opera House, Island, and Fitzgerald Park; all local attractions, where many events are held during the season.

This year we intend to have:

• live musical entertainment
• cooking demonstrations from local chefs
• weekly special events
• information on how to live within your community

Our goal is to make the Grand Ledge Farmers Market a destination for the whole family. As always the main focus of our market is to encourage our community to buy locally produced goods from a farmer you can meet and trust. We know the benefits that can be had by both the consumers and producers when they are brought together at a local forum, while subsequently alleviating the middleman, ensuring larger profits and fresher products.

Our passion to bring local farmers, craftspeople, and artisans to the community is unsurpassed. The local businesses and the Grand Ledge Chamber of Commerce also support the market, as they know the market can only help their businesses thrive, especially in the age of the big box retailer.
